Atelier Francis is an architecture firm that fosters international cultural connections through design projects, consultancy for both private and public clients, and the curation of exhibitions and events.
Founded by Elizabeth Francis, an Irish architect based in Bologna, the firm draws on over 30 years of experience in the construction and cultural sectors. Her past roles include Commissioner of the Irish Pavilion at the Venice Architecture Biennale and Technical Supervisor for Ireland at Expo Milan 2015. Elizabeth is also the co-founder of Meme Exchange, a non-profit cultural association dedicated to promoting sustainable urban regeneration. Currently, she serves as Lead Assessor for Architecture at the Arts Council of Ireland, is a board member of the Emilia Romagna branch of ADI – Associazione per il Disegno Industriale (Industrial Design Association) and is part of the Steering Committee of the Irish Business Network Italy.
